Goleta beach is an easy dive site with great accessability, shallow depths, low currents and surf, and a typically easy entry. It has a wide variety of life and a beautiful site, unfortunately visibility can change very quickly and is often very low.
The primary dive site is located along the west side of the pier (approx 30 years) and runs paralell to it; it is a sewage pipe that has been covered with rocks to create an artificial reef and runs approximately two miles offshore.
Parking is free and readily available near the pier and the Beachside restaurant, the best gear up site is the picnic tables near the bathroom and the shower.
